Screening in children

Approximately 1 in 8 children have visual impairment.
The visual development of the child is a complex maturation process, which takes a few years to mature. At birth, vision is not mature and visual potential develops gradually until about the age of 6.

Consultation process

Adequate care in ophthalmic pediatrics requires a reassuring atmosphere, in a place dedicated to children and with specific equipment.
